Ladies—Some of you might remember my post from awhile back about my troubles buying a house in Mill Valley. Well, I’ve since bought the home, moved, am largely unpacked… and have come here to give you a recommendation if you’re considering real estate hunting: If you need a realtor who will have your back and move mountains to find you the right place, you need to talk to Lorraine Watkins!! Lorraine has been our agent for years now. Having worked with other agents in the past, I can honestly say that Lorraine is hands down one of the best in Marin. We were very pleased with all the help Lorraine gave us this past year in our house hunt. We had a fairly complex request--we were moving from the East Coast to Marin and needed to find a house before school started with a complex set of requirements, done almost completely via phone, e-mail and text. Lorraine worked around our travel schedule, found great properties for us to look at when we were here, and walked us painstakingly through the entire contract/ offer process. She was patient and careful and we are forever grateful for her knowledge and experience! Lorraine worked with us on the sale of our home and the purchase of a new home in 2015/2016 and there is no denying Lorraine works hard! She made sure that our promotional material was top notch, hiring a professional photographer and going so far as to sweep the outdoor areas of our home and purchase fresh flowers for staging. She personally showed our home to all potential buyers and secured us 8 offers within a week all well above the asking price. She worked equally as hard on the buying front ultimately finding us a home off market that suited our needs perfectly.
